- Provincial Agriculturist's Office of Oriental Mindoro, Provincial Demo Farm

As part of its regular support programs, the Provincial Agriculturist’s Office (PAgO) has successfully distributed a range of agricultural interventions to Mindoreño farmers from January to June 2025, aimed at improving crop productivity and promoting sustainable farming practices in Oriental Mindoro.
A total of 962 farmers benefitted from the interventions, which mostly includes the provision of high-quality planting materials and organic farming inputs to help enhance yields and farm income across the province.
Among the interventions distributed were 282 plantlets of tissue-cultured banana, 31 planting materials, and 5,682 improved planting materials, supporting the propagation of disease-free and high-yielding crops. To encourage organic farming and reduce dependence on chemical inputs, PAgO also provided 941 packs of Trichoderma, a beneficial fungus used for soil and plant health, and 3,413 packs of bio-control agents, which help manage pests and diseases naturally.
Additionally, the office distributed 6,680 packs of assorted vegetable seeds to promote food security and home gardening, and a source of healthy nutritious food for own household consumption, along with 551 copies of IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials to equip farmers with knowledge on modern and sustainable farming techniques.
These interventions were given not only to organized groups but also to walk-in clients who sought support directly from PAgO. The continuous distribution of these helpful agricultural interventions reinforces the provincial government’s commitment to agricultural development and farmer empowerment throughout Oriental Mindoro. ●
