Mindoro State University (MinSU) successfully held its much anticipated i-BIBES Grand Launching and InnoBIDAtion Festival on May 8–9, 2025, at the Auditorium and A-STEER Center, Main Campus, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro. With the theme, “Bridging Ideas, Driving Advancement: Empowering Innovation Collaboration, Mentorship, and Sustainable Solutions,” the two-day event showcased groundbreaking initiatives in research, enterprise, and technology.

The event drew more than 300 participants and delegates government agencies, academic institutions, and the private sector. Among the key collaborators was Provincial Government of    Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) through the Provincial Agriculturist’s Office (PAgO), headed by Ms. Christine M. Pine. PAgO played a significant role in showcasing the province’s agricultural potential, displaying an impressive lineup of value-added products that highlight innovation in local food processing and agribusiness.

During the InnoBIDAtion Festival, the PGOM through PAgO exhibited products from its Provincial Agricultural and Agriprocessing Centers such as freeze-dried and vacuum-fried fruits and vegetables, as well as ready-to-drink bottled fruit juices. These exhibits exemplified how innovation in agriculture contributes to sustainable livelihood and economic growth in the province.

The event featured keynote messages, partnership signings (MOA, MOU, and LOI), and the onboarding of the first batch of i-incubatees. The support of PGOM reinforced its dedication fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among Mindoreños.

Organized by MinSU with its partner institutions, the festival was a milestone for the university’s innovation program. It also reaffirmed the shared commitment of MinSU and PGOM to promoting inclusive, sustainable, and future-ready development in Oriental Mindoro.●
